Tree inventories that stay alive
Simple enough for volunteers, deep enough for consulting arborists. Crews record location, species and diameter while walking to the next tree, add photos of the stem, roots and crown for later comparison, and speak notes that are typed for them. Inventories stay current because updating them is quick.
TRAQ risk assessment, complete
Every field and value list of the ISA’s Tree Risk Assessment Qualification method, with the calculations done for you and each assessment kept with the tree’s visit history, so risk can be compared over time. TRAQ is a way of analyzing, not a substitute for judgment: UFM makes an assessment easier to record, map and report, and leaves the conclusions with the arborist.

Trunk formula and replacement cost methods, with species ratings filled in from your ISA region’s published values. Formulas can be adjusted where state court precedent calls for it.
Tree maps without a GIS
Tap the map to place a tree, or let the device’s GPS find the tree in front of you and show its history. Maps export as KML for Google Earth, ArcGIS and other GIS tools, and can be shared with clients as a link where they tap any tree to see its record.
Reports and proposals from the field
Inventories, tree reports, maps and proposals as one-button PDFs, sent to the client before you leave the site. Search across any fields, such as elms over 8 inches not treated in three years, and turn the result into a prioritized work list.
From proposal to invoice
Send proposals, track approvals, assign the work, and invoice what’s done. Record chemical treatments and automate annual government reporting. Larger firms can have UFM customized further, with scheduling and routing across teams.

Before you start
- What does it run on?
- iPad and iPhone, plus PC and Mac. On a computer it needs FileMaker Pro, bought separately. It does not run on Android.
- Can it be set up for how we work?
- Yes. Most firms reorder or swap fields, change the pick lists, and brand their reports. We set that up with you when you start.
- Can we bring our old data?
- Yes. We load data from your current system as part of setup, at no charge.
- What if it isn’t right for us?
- First-time customers can return it within 30 days for a full refund.
- Where’s the manual?
- The UFM manual covers setup and moving files between field and office.
